"Blocks" the enzyme responsible for the absorption of carbohydrates.
Phase 2 Starch Neutralizer is a natural extract from white kidney beans that
"blocks" the enzyme responsible for the absorption of carbohydrates.
Over five studies prove that low carb dieting is an effective way to lose weight.
Clinical research studies indicate the nutrient in Phase 2 Starch Neutralizer
is a safe, effective, all-natural dietary supplement that does not contain harmful
stimulants, as in other diet products. The Phase 2 Starch Neutralizer nutrient
blocks the digestive enzyme alpha amylase before it can convert starch into
glucose (sugar), and then fat. If these sugar calories are not converted to
fuel and stored as fat, then the result is weight gain.
If you are looking to complement your diet and exercise program, simply take
two capsules, along with 8 ounces of water, at the beginning of a meal that
contains carbohydratessuch as starch-rich pasta and potatoes. For people
following Atkins® or other low carb diet programs, Phase 2 Starch Neutralizer
allows the user great freedom to consume those starchy foods that everyone enjoys
without undergoing the full intake of calories that would normally follow.
How it works
Phase 2 is able to "stop starch" from usual daily food intake because
it effectively prevents the absorption of carbohydrate calories into the body.
During the digestive process, the carbohydrates from starchy foods like bread
and potatoes are converted by the body into sugars. The digestive system does
this by acting on and breaking down the carbohydrate molecules with a glycoprotein
enzyme produced in the pancreas, known as alpha amylase.
The sugar calories created in this way are made available to the body to be
used to fuel exercise or to be stored as fat cells for future use. The body's
energy requirements may result in the burning of all the calories made available
to it, but any calories not burnt in this way will be stored and the accumulation
of these stored fat cells inevitably leads to the unwanted outcome of weight
gain.
Phase 2 prevents this usual digestive sequence from occurring because it has
a "neutralising" effect on the alpha amylase enzyme and in effect
prevents it from carrying out its normal function of converting starch into
sugar calories. Essentially, by blocking the action of alpha amylase, the presence
of Phase 2 allows carbohydrate foods to be processed by the digestive system
with a sharp reduction in the calorie intake.
